Crystalline Gaze

You are no less to me than the greatness you always were.
You have only changed in the views of my physical eyes,
For my soul sees what truly is, and has found its rest in your heart.
I will never leave you; my promises remain,
For you are one of the rarest treasures that I have found.

I would die without the kinship that I feel within my spirit’s domain.
Warriors and kings of a different age rule within the marred remains of who we are,
For we have seen those battles many times, and have fought with the bravery of our souls.
You are my companion, my friend, my light in the darkest hour;
And these tearfilled eyes will never regret their vision of the true being, the core.

In this twisted misery we call life, there are few that could say what we can;
That we have found true friendship beyond that of reasoning or recompense;
That we have both leaned and carried in both sorrow and grace, to come to this point;
That you are to me what so many desire to have;
Even in the weakness of obscurity and the fate that destroys what visions create.

What I feel within my spirit cannot change, for you have not changed;
Only the illusions have been cleared from this mirror of dreams
To reveal the crystal clear perfection of truth,
For the petals of the diamond flower have revealed their insecurities;
And what I see is the glow of a more powerful bond,
Through the eyes of the soul’s crystalline gaze.

Desert’s Child

Please take me away
To the sands of my birth
The dream of my incarnation
Where first I breathed the morning
And exhaled the dusk
May the land hear my call
For I am alone again

Pain seeks its treasure in buried temples
Ancient, yet not forgotten
Not by me
For I was awakened in a bed of rage
Bringing storms across distant horizons
My yesterdays of wrath
Which fill my tomorrows once more

Let the sands caress my face
And the sweat kiss my eyes
For my vision burns of you, my home
Humanity will take its leave of me
For what I never was cannot remain
Only the spirit which was born of this fire
And the body which tempts not the fortunes of bliss

The barren sun weeps for its lost child
In a death-trance which mourning could not overtake
I can hear the moans which erupt from both above and below
It surrounds me with a desire which could never be quenched
For I belong with the jackals and the asps
I am the heart which rises in its grave
A traveller carried home by the wind

I will reach my horizon
I will see the visions in my dreams
Forever could not hold back this longing
For it is older than the seas
And furious in its need
The inhuman force resonating in my pulse
I will return, a child of the sand and a god of the lonely flame…

Burden

Years succumb to the footfalls of strangers
Swearing allegiance to an unknown crown
Questions bearing no aid nor answer resonate from beyond
In waters which brought forth dreams
And never faltered for lack of reason

Fury fell fast upon a breast forged in pain
As princes crumbled beneath the mire
Danced as never before, then died
Broken and weary from a fear which knew them not
Fully denied fate of half-empty eyes which never dared to see

With fear, I embrace the steps of the damned
Chiseled in abhorrence
Kissed with passion
And yet my burdened feet bleed with each wish
Wanting for that which words cannot form

Seas of madness dwell in this heart of stone
Waiting for you to crush it.
Let it weep
For in those tears I will find my release
And kiss the humble hand which still holds the key

Ask not for hidden treasures, readily attained
For I have given myself away
As laughter drowned in its own iniquity.
Madness held within crystalline tears
Fall upon your pure brow, to quickly wipe away…
From wandering eyes

Inside the Corners of a Dream

Beauty hides in corners that man refuses to share
Each thought, each driven enchantment
Buried in the fog and gloom of a chosen rejection
Not willing to look inside the mirrored soul of eternity
And yet our eyes are not so blind
Nor our hearts so callous
That we could not embrace the unembraceable
And hold high that single, flowering teardrop
Which flows, obscure, through our darkest dreams
Of a distant reality

Freedom_Is_A_Long_Way_Away by Arielle Carroll

Those dreams are like stars,
Fallen far from my hand
And yet still I reach upward
As they continue to shine
Rays like rivers, pouring wishes into my soul
Giving courage to climb higher still
Inside my mind
Inside a heart which beats faster
Until scarce I could fathom how high I have come
To touch my frozen heaven, deep within the night

Will you touch the stars with me?
Will you dare to drink heaven
And beckon the raging river which flows faster with every wish?
This mysterious beauty which lingers in the mist
Daring not to speak outside the shadows
Haunting with its melody unsung
Will you dare to hear the silent whisper of the teardrop I now hold?
In the corners of my soul, I can feel the warmth of my beloved agony
As I drown within her voice, which is now a part of me
All the while, I reach for your hand and ask — will you dream?
